Free Rabbit MOT from Redditch vets
Rabbit awareness week is not to far away and to celebrate Redditch Vets4Pets are offering nearby rabbit owners the chance to bring their rabbit in for a free health check. This year is a particularly special year for the event, as it is the ‘year of the rabbit’.
Rabbit Awareness Week begins on May 23rd and will aim to highlight the joys and challenges of owning a rabbit. Vets4Pets are not the only practice to be offering free health checkups. All throughout the UK, veterinary practices are lining up to offer free physical health checkups for rabbits. You can check to see which local clinics are offering checkups on the Rabbit Awareness Week website.
Some of the key health issues that will be examined are Flystrike, Fleas, Lice, E. cuniculi, Myxomatosis and VHD. Vets will be urging pet owners to keep their rabbit’s housing clean and dry and to insure that rabbits are fed a health diet, high in fibre in order to avoid diarrhoea.
For more information about the event, visit the Rabbit Awareness Week website (RAW) or check with your local veterinary clinic to see if they’re participating.
